First Place: Laura Joksaite
Lauro Jo says of her winning photo:
While I was in Badoca Natural Park [Editor's note: Portugal] enjoying the view I heard kids screaming, and some of them crying from something scared them.
I looked around and saw two birds bullying the kids.
I walked around and saw one more bird watching situation from a few meters away. He looked so mysterious and tried to understand the situation. I squatted down and took my camera slowly and zoomed an amazing view for my eye.
The sun was lightening white feathers from his head and the dark background made him look so mysterious. He stayed proud and I was happy.
Second Place: Connie Owen
Third Place: Barbara Hayes
Honorable Mention: Kristin West

First Place: Dianne Atterson
I went to the Homasassa Wildlife Park in Florida a couple months ago. It's local and I like to go there.
They have all kinds of birds and some animals. They also have flamingos all year around.
I was just watching them and happened to get one that was shaking and his feathers looked wild so I snapped the picture.
Second Place: Monica Ramanathan
Third Place: Sandra Knight
Honorable Mention: Cheryl Emerick
